A one-of-a-kind place located in Świeciechów, in the Opoczno district
The “Manufaktura Marcińczak” Manufactory is a one-of-a-kind place located in Świeciechów, in the Opoczno district. It is home to one of the few Sztum horse studs in Poland and the country’s only place where natural, health-enhancing soaps are handcrafted from mare’s milk.
Our stud farm
We keep around 50 horses, predominantly mares (both adult and young). Every horse is named and treated with care, respect and daily affection. They are under the care of Katarzyna Marcińczak, for whom horses are far more than a profession – they are her life’s passion. Once apprehensive, she now understands them intuitively, and they respond to her voice.
Sztum horses, the heaviest of the cold-blooded breeds, have been bred here for over a decade. The story began with a single mare, purchased for Katarzyna’s daughter. What started as a modest dream gradually grew into a large stud, now spanning more than 130 hectares and operating as part of a conservation programme for this valuable breed.
A major turning point
A major turning point came in 2021, when the idea of harvesting mare’s milk first emerged. Exceptionally easy to digest, mare’s milk is rich in natural, immunity-supporting components and remarkably gentle on the skin. We use it in many ways: supplying local recipients, manufacturers of supplements and dermocosmetics and, above all, our own workshop.
Our products
Mare’s milk is also used in the production of Manufaktura Marcińczak’s handmade soaps, according to original recipes, in collaboration with natural skincare experts. Each soap has proven health-supporting properties, helping to alleviate skin problems, regenerating the skin and restoring its natural balance.
Unique in Poland, our products are available directly from us, as well as at fairs and events promoting local brands.
